Full-quality stems. No account, no per-track fee. Same 192 kbps (or lossless WAV) as the paid tier: tracks up to 15 minutes. With a pass, vocal removal and karaoke can run on our best vocal model.
The result is the same isolated vocal every time, pulled straight out of the mix in one upload, and it comes back as a clean 192 kbps MP3. It runs the same in a phone browser as on a desktop, and the free tier is the full tool while a pass can use our best vocal model. A standalone recording works too: as a voice extractor it handles audio that isn't a finished song just as cleanly.
What a vocal isolator gives you
This vocal isolator pulls the singing out of a finished song and gives you two files from one upload: the isolated vocals and the music without the voice, both as 192 kbps MP3, plus a zip of the pair. It is free for 10 songs a day, needs no account and no card, and the download is the full-length file, not a locked preview. Your upload is deleted the moment it has been processed.
Isolating the vocals does not mean losing the rest. Because the voice is separated from everything else, you can listen to the singer on their own, or keep the music and leave the voice out. Need drums, bass and each instrument as separate files? The full splitter on the home page does that.
How to isolate vocals from a song
- Drop the song into the box above (MP3, WAV, FLAC, M4A, AAC or OGG, up to 15 minutes).
- Wait for the separation. It usually takes under a minute, and at a busy moment you see your place in the queue.
- Press play on the vocals to check the result, then download them as an MP3.
- Take the music-only file from the same result if you need it.
What people use an isolated vocal for
- Practising harmonies or learning a part against the original singer
- Working out lyrics you could not quite hear
- Sampling a hook or an ad-lib without the beat under it
- Making a cover, a mashup or a remix from the original voice
- Getting a cleaner vocal to run through a transcription tool
How clean is the isolated vocal
On well-mixed studio tracks the vocal comes out clean, with little or no drums and bass underneath. Dense mixes leave more bleed, and live, lo-fi or heavily reverbed recordings are harder for any tool: crowd noise and room reverb sit in the same space as the singer and can follow the voice into the vocal file. Give the tricky ones a listen before you build on them.
Two limits to know about. Lead and backing vocals come out together as one vocal file, so this is not a way to pull a backing singer apart from the lead. And the song needs a singer somewhere in it: an instrumental track gives back a silent vocal file because there is no voice to isolate.
Vocal isolator, vocal remover or acapella: which page?
They are the same separation seen from different sides. To keep the voice, stay here. To keep the music instead, the vocal remover page covers removing the singing. For the isolated vocal aimed at DJs and producers, see the acapella extractor, and extract vocals from a song covers the same file for sampling and transcription. Want the melody as notes? MP3 to MIDI turns a vocal into a MIDI track. Still choosing a tool? Our best free stem splitters roundup shows how StemGrab compares.
Working from a video or a voice memo with a background track? The sound is separated and the picture ignored, so the same upload works for a spoken recording too. Only have a streaming link? You need the audio file itself: record it with our voice recorder or extract it from a video file.
Vocal isolator free: formats, limits and no sign up
Which files does the vocal isolator accept?
MP3, WAV, FLAC, M4A, AAC, OGG, Opus, WMA and AIFF, and also video files such as MP4, MOV, MKV and WebM, where only the sound is used.
Is it really free, and what are the limits?
Yes, with no sign up. A free upload can be up to 15 minutes and 2 GB, and the free tier covers 10 separations a day. We timed a 3 minute 18 second song at about 4 seconds of GPU time.

Common questions
How do I isolate vocals from a song?
Drop the song into the box above and wait for the separation, usually under a minute. Then download the vocals as a 192 kbps MP3. There is nothing to install and no account to make.
Is this vocal isolator really free?
Yes: no account, no watermark and no card. It handles 10 songs a day, and the download is the full-length MP3, not a locked preview. A pass raises the track length and keeps your files longer.
Can I isolate vocals online with no sign up?
Yes. Open this page, drop the song in and download the vocals. No sign-up and no e-mail address are asked for at any point.
What do I get back?
Two files per song: the isolated vocals and the music without the voice, both as 192 kbps MP3, plus a zip of the pair. For drums, bass and other instruments as separate files, use the full splitter on the home page.
Is there a voice isolator that takes the voice out of the music?
That is what this does: it separates the voice from the music, so you get the voice on its own and the music on its own. Use the vocals file to keep the voice, or the other file to keep the music.
Can I use it as an MP3 vocal isolator?
Yes. MP3 files go in exactly as they are, with no conversion step, and WAV, FLAC, M4A, AAC and OGG work as well, up to 15 minutes per track.
How clean is the isolated vocal?
Clean on well-mixed studio tracks. Dense, live or heavily reverbed recordings leave more bleed, which is normal for every separation tool.
Does it separate the lead singer from the backing vocals?
No. Lead and backing vocals come out together as one vocal file, because everything that is sung counts as vocals.
Does it work on an instrumental track?
It needs a song with a singer in it. A purely instrumental track gives back a silent vocal file, since there is no voice to isolate.
Can I get the lyrics as text?
Not on this page: it gives you the vocals as audio, not written words. Download the vocals here, then run that file through ScribeGrab for a transcript; a clean vocal gives a more accurate transcription than the full mix.
Is my song kept?
No. Your upload is deleted the moment it is processed and the results are wiped from the server within 45 minutes (24 hours with any pass). Nothing is shared or used to train anything. See privacy.
