The service

StemGrab is a free online tool that separates an audio file into stems (vocals, drums, bass, guitar, piano, other, plus a derived instrumental) using AI. It is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. Separation quality varies with the source material. There is also an optional paid month pass, described below; the free tool is not a trial and does not expire.

Fair use

Only upload audio you have the right to process. You are solely responsible for what you upload and for how you use the resulting stems.
Don't abuse the service: no automated bulk scraping, no attempts to overload the GPU queue, no circumventing rate limits.
We may block traffic that threatens the stability or legality of the service.

The Pro month pass

Everything described above stays free. Alongside it we sell an optional month pass for €5. It is a one-off purchase — there is no subscription, nothing renews, and nothing is charged again.

It lasts 30 days, counted from your first track — not from the moment you pay. Buy it tonight and start tomorrow; the clock only begins when you actually split something. An unused pass stays claimable for 90 days, after which it expires unused.
A pass lives in the browser you bought it in. There are no accounts here, so it is stored locally in that browser and sent along with your requests. It will not appear on a second device, in a different browser, or in private-browsing windows, and clearing your site data removes it. If you lose a pass that way, mail us — see below.
What it changes: longer tracks, more at once, all stems as MP3 or WAV, the play-along mixes and practice tools, results kept for 24 hours instead of 45 minutes, priority in the queue and no ads. It does not change the separation quality — the free tool and a pass run the same model on the same hardware.
Payment is processed by Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd.). We are the seller: VAT is included in the price and accounted for by us, and we email you a receipt after payment. We never see or store your card details.

Refunds. If the tool didn't do what this page says it does, mail [email protected] with the order reference from your confirmation email and we will refund you — we would rather return €5 than argue about it. If the service is unavailable for a meaningful part of your 30 days, ask and we will extend the pass or refund it. Because a pass is a digital service that starts the moment you use it, the statutory right of withdrawal ends once you split your first track; before that, an unstarted pass can always be refunded on request.

Copyright

Uploading a track does not transfer any rights to us, and separating a track does not give you rights you didn't already have. Publishing stems, covers or remixes of copyrighted recordings may require permission from the rights holders. The tool is intended for lawful uses such as practice, karaoke with permitted material, DJ transitions, accessibility and work on your own recordings.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, StemGrab is not liable for any damages arising from use of the service, including loss of files or claims relating to uploaded content. Files are processed automatically and deleted shortly after; keep your own originals.

Changes

These terms may be updated; the date above reflects the latest version. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
